SAT Chemistry prep book(s)

I will probably take the SAT Chemistry Test in October/November.
I would like to know if studying after the Barron SAT Chem book would give me a very good preparation or if studying after the Barron AP Chem book would be a better choice?

Also, what would be considered a very good score? I know the Chem Test is a very difficult one, so would a 750+ be highly regarded among the ad officers? I read somewhere that some colleges even give you credit for a 750+ score (Tufts or Tulane? I don’t remember).

As far as I know, Tulane only gives credit based on the AP exam.

Are you considering pre-med? If so, you have to take Freshman Chem anyway. Med schools don’t accept AP credit as a substitute for having actually taken the course.

Yes, I intend to do pre-med, but that wasn’t my point (regarding the AP exam and med schools).
I want to take the SAT Chem test because I want to apply for engineering.
So, who can answer my questions related to the books and (good) scores?

bump pls 10char

I just started with the barrons book and its really good so far. I heard its supposed to be much harder so if you do fine with barrons you should be good for the real test.

Ok, thanks
