Sat Course

I’ve heard of many people who took the sat without taking one of those expensive princeton review courses. I dont feel like im smart enough to study independently and ace the sat, and so I wish to take a princeton review course. I’m taking the psat this october and then the sat maybe sometime later in the fall and once again in the spring. When should i take this course? Is it okay to take it after the psat and before the sat? How long and how should i study by myself if I dont take a course. I’m an average student. How much study is needed for someone like me to ace the sat without taking a prep course.

PLEASE HELP. you guys are great; always answering questions and helping strangers you have no affiliation with.

Honestly, the class won’t help. My English teacher taught them for 10 years (so did my aunt), and they both agree that the classes are complete wastes of time and money. They agree that the class doesn’t teach you anything which isn’t common sense, and that the only reason those classes exist is for Princeton Review to take your money. So it really isn’t worth it.

The SAT isn’t something you study for. Just learn math and English or don’t. Your choice.

None of my four friends who scored 2270-2400 studied. Just take the test. Studying is a negative sum game.

Princeton Review is really expensive. There should be more places that offer cheaper alternatives.

There is. .

I personally would just buy a good book and really review it… I mean even in the courses all they are going to do is just apply that knowledge by telling you it. Also if you have any questions ask your teachers, they won’t mind helping (and it is free on your part)
