SAT Crisis

Hi! I just logged onto my collegeboard account to see my August SAT results and found that my score has not moved more than 10 points from when I first took it in March (August was my 3rd time). As of right now, I have a 1400 superscore (710 M 690 R). I was really hoping for a 1450 for admission to Pitt honors college, and that score is also the cutoff for merit money at alot of my schools. I was planning on taking subject tests in October for my one school (Lafayette) that recommends them. Does it look bad to take the SAT 4 times? I will graduate with 6 AP classes, (hopefully) straight A’s, 5 leadership positions, 2 sports all 4 years, and alot of work experience. Do I have a chance of admission/merit money at any of these schools or should I take the SAT again in hopes of a higher score?

If it wasn’t so late I would say ACT my kids hated the SAT felt like it was written in a strange language and all said “who talks like that?”

Big swings from SAT to ACT: 1100 SAT – 27 ACT
1280 SAT-- 32 ACT
1580 Old Sat–27 ACT

Your dual sport EC’s for 4 years and multiple EC’s (without knowing them) should be a huge help assuming you have a competitive GPA.

No. Nobody cares. Take it as much as you want.

Nobody. Spoken and written English are different. Who writes like that? Well, a lot of the people whose books are taught in college

It will not matter how many times you take the SAT. I think you still have a great chance for the Presidential Scholarship at Loyola University Maryland…given your grades, test scores, etc. Best of luck to you!
