Critical reading is my weakest spot.
I read the passage and sometimes don’t fully understand it.
What should I do?

I think that you should mark up the text. Take notes on every paragraph briefly explaining how they contribute to the overall idea. Even if you don’t understand the full context, you will at least have a semblance of an idea about the general meaning. Also you need to remember that ALL THE ANSWERS ARE IN THE TEXT. Intuition does not work, answers need cold hard evidence from the passage. I used to be like you and had the same problem as you did, but once I started marking up the passage, I became more engaged and thus remembered more.

Won’t marking the passage waste a lot of time.
Can you give me some examples?
