Hey guys, im new to this forum.
i screwed up my first SAT
Score :1270

Critical Reading 450
Math 380
Writing 440

The main reason i got this score is because I tried filling up every bubble.
The problem is I’m going to take SAT on Saturday 3rd of May which is the day after tomorrow. What would you guys advice me to do?
Please give me universal SAT advices that would higher up my score.

eek.
studying seriously would help more than anything and i think thats the most universal advice i could give you.
you can improve your score for sure though with hard work, good luck! :)

uhhhhh, your not goign to improve much in one day. get a good nights rest and review what you got wrong?

And think about how to motivate yourself when encountering a loooooong and boooooring sentence…
I’ve done some more practicing than you, and will probably not be very good either. However, I have just found out that it really motivates me to think that a hell lot of people are getting good scores - kinda pushes me, at least on the practice test I’ve just done.
I guess thats kinda individual though… I’m also going to use my lucky calculator (that accompanied me for quite some time now) instead of the TI that I just recently bought for the SAT.
Its too late to learn a lot, so just get emotionally ready and do some minor practicing to feel good and comfortable.

Thx for all of your replies. Helpful!

Best thing you can do is NOT try to finish the test. You should focus on getting the easy/medium questions completely right instead of trying to speed through the test and lose a ton of points on the hard questions. On the math and writing (for the most part) the questions are ordered from easiest to hardest so focus the vast majority of time getting your points from the easy/medium questions. Similar strategy for the CR, on the sentence completions, unless you really think you have the answer on the last couple don’t randomly guess. If you do that I don’t think 500-550 for each section would be an unreasonable goal at this point.
