Personally, I think you have great scores, alone or combined. You should be happy with them. And, if it were me, I would happily submit them.
For what it is worth, as it applies to your counselor putting your early 800 score in his letter, I see the appeal, but it probably isn’t necessary. I mean it’s not REALLY incrementally better than the 790 that you would also be reporting. Also, however, it won’t necessarily hurt for him to include it. However, I would NOT suggest that you try to include that tidbit anywhere, because the place to do that would be your reported scores section which would simply highlight the absence of the erbw score.
