<p>So what happened was, at the high school that I took the SAT Reasoning for the second time (first time=1920), there was a black out in some of the rooms. Luckily, my room didn’t have one so we continued with the test while everyone else had to reschedule to the test to some other time. I received a letter from this high school saying, we have the option to retake it on another date given, or call collegeboard and ask them to report the score online (for those that successfully took it when the blackout occurred).
However, when I checked online the day when everyone received their scores, I got a message saying that my score will be delayed until Oct. 31.
The problem is, I’m early applying to Chicago and the application is due November 1.
It wouldn’t be a big problem just to fill out everything on the common app and then fill in the SAT portion soon after, but I heard I have to pay collegeboard and ask them to send the scores, and I don’t know how long that would take.
Also, a former friend of mine applied to West Point, and he told me about how he procrastinated and completed the application the day before it was due and he had sooo much trouble trying to send it in because there were so many server errors (I guess that was the day everyone was turning in their application)
So I’m a bit worried about it.
Plus, since I’m taking the ACT tomorrow (Oct. 25), will I not be able to send my scores when I’m applying early?

<p>It’s not a problem. Admissions won’t start reviewing files for a few weeks – they have to put all the various pieces from CB, GCs, you, etc. together into a single file – times several thousand EA apps. Chicago will post what pieces of your app they’ve received (and what’s missing) in mid-Nov. and then give you time to complete your file. If they don’t have your scores by then, that’s when you call CB. Some aspects of getting the materials there are out of your hands, and admissions knows that.</p>
<p>The admissions folks really do work with applicants, so DO NOT PANIC.</p>
