just wondering…
how much will SATII’s affect the admission rate?
what about gpa, act, volunteer, leadership, and college essay?
thnx
Also, how many more opportunities can i take the SAT before early registration (end nov)
once or twice?

The way I understand SAT Subject Tests, they usually don’t help or hurt your application. As long as you’re within the average, admissions officers don’t put much importance on them. Apparently, they might use them as a “tie-breaker”, when unsure about which 2 applicants to admit.

I would think October should be early enough. When dealing with Early Admission, whether or not you can count the SAT in November will just depend on the school, so ask them.

where do u find the “average” for SATII

usually, it’s about the same as the average for any of the sections on the SAT I, for whatever school you’re looking at.

for example, if your dream school has an average SAT of 1880-2020, that’s about a 650 for each section, on average. so, anything above a 650 would be sufficient when talking about SAT II scores.

this is just a general rule.
