<p>yeah definitely. you can get multiple wrong on the writing MC and a 12 essay and get an 800. the same is true for CR.</p>

<p>So 2400 would equal 144, but 36 could be 142-144.</p>

<p>but a 2400 doesn’t mean you got every question right though. just as a 36 doesn’t mean you got every question right.</p>

<p>2400= every question right, but 36= not every question right. SAT doesn’t have a scale, so if you miss one, your score goes down.</p>

<p>it’s an award for people that you get nominated for if you score highest in your state on the SAT or ACT. and since most states have people who score perfects, the cutoff is usually a 2400 or a 144/36 (“perfect” 36). then you send in transcripts and all that crap and you can be a semifinalist and later they chose 2 finalists, a girl and a guy, to do something in washington dc and meet the president. yayy</p>

<p>is a 143 any different than a 144? :p</p>
