“Do changes that make our lives easier not necessarily make them better?”

Changes that make our lives easier do not make them better. This is greatly demonstrated in the development of the car as well as the introduction of online shopping. Technological advancements can hurt our health and security.
The rapid advancements of technology have brought great difficulties to our lives. the invention of the car meant that people no longer had to walk to their desired destination, but with people owning more than one car in the United States, it has began to hurt their health. Obesity has become a big problem in the US because people use cars to drive everywhere such as near by convenient stores. Instead of walking, they take a car, thus hurting their health. The changes in transportation that many pictured to make our lives easier are no having a long term effect on our lives. In the long run, someone who uses a car for all his or her transportation need is more likely to develop health problems. Without cars, people would be healthier.
The internet has made our lives easier, however, it doesn't come with out difficulties. We can now purchase items form the internet from the comfort of our own home but we are putting our security at risk. When we purchase something ,we put our personal information into companies data base, now anyone can have access to your information. although certain websites may say that it is secure to buy items, there have been several cases where the employees have take personal information from the consumers and abuse it. This occurred in 2008 with several Verizon wireless employees. Once the personal information is stolen, the consumer must complain, file law suits, and get his or her identity back. Thins would have been easier if the items were purchased at the store.
After a careful analysis of the development of the car and the rise of online shopping, one can see that indeed they demonstrate how changes that make our lives easier not necessarily make them better. Without these issues, many problems could have been avoided
