<p>Yes- and those essay are most often successfully accomplished by people who had a lot of literary examples anyway. </p>
<p>I dont see the point in trying to give the people who are grading your essay the impression that you never cracked a book in 4 years. </p>
<p>If you really cant think of a literary example its better to get started, using something historic or scientific, than twirling your pencil pensively. But it shouldnt be your default position.</p>
