Hi!
I have a question about SAT scores for BS/MD programs and for other colleges. If I have a 1500 SAT superscored, would that be enough to be considered for programs like Brown PLME? Would extracurriculars and GPA make up for the SAT score? I took AP World History and AP Physics 1 last year and am taking AP Literature, AP Calc AB, AP Biology, and AP Computer science Principles right now (4.0 UW). And for colleges that accept superscores - do they check to see each individual score when considering students for admission? Or do they only judge off the superscore?
Thank you!
Bs/MD programs are amongst THE most competitive of college admissions. Your whole application needs to be great. In addition to strong academic things, you also need shadowing, volunteering with disadvantaged population, things that demonstrate you know what it takes to be a doctor.

Hello - in terms of medical experience, I think I have several extracurriculars. I’m just concerned that this SAT score will bring me down. Thank you for your reply!
If you are ORM ( ASIAN) you will need 1560+ , even non BSMD programs for IVY need very high score of ACT or SAT and still no guarantee
BS MD is just a luck and chance is low , we have seen people with perfect 1600 scores and 4.0 UW get rejected , follow the BS MD results threads to get an Idea
Test scores are definitely not THAT high of a priority, but they still are crucial. Know a couple peers who are ORMs with low 1500s but had amazing research and impact. Everything has a balance for sure.
