SAT for eastern schools necessary?

<p>I am from the Midwest and have planned on only taking the ACT. This seemed like not a problem, considering that most colleges say either is fine. However, at Vassar, only 241/1798 admits used the ACT. </p>

<p>Would I be at any disadvantage by only taking the ACT? I apologize if this is a common question that could be found elsewhere, but I couldn’t find an answer.</p>

<p>It makes no difference whatsoever. Just because fewer applicants take the ACT doesn’t mean that the colleges treat it differently. Today, I don’t think there’s a school in the country that doesn’t accept the ACT.</p>
