If you want to score 2350+ on the SAT in 2nd semester of 11th grade, or the beginning of 12th grade, what score range should you aim to be in on practice SAT’s and the PSAT for 9th, 10th, and 11th grade?

bumpedy bump bump bump

perfect scores every time or you have no chance

just kidding. I have no idea how to answer your question because all that matters is how you do on the day of the actual test. PSATs and practice tests don’t necessarily correlate with the real deal, but I suppose being consistently above 2100+ means that you have a good chance at a 2350+.

2100+ in 9th grade?

I got 2100 at the end of 10th grade then 2300 at the end of 11th grade. Not exactly a wowing result but I would say you could ace the test by 200 in a year (or even less).
What matters is early preparation and hard, well-paced work.

early prep? what grade/time of year would be a good time to start?

Granted, early prep is helpful, and I suggest starting no later than summer after 10th grade. It should give you ample time to evaluate your current ability as well as how long it would take to reach your goal. But on the other hand, I can say from experience that early prep is not as important as effective prep. My only serious cramming started about two weeks before the June SAT, and somehow I managed to score a 2360. Go figure.

ok thanks… how do you improve reading vocab/comprehension and writing essay? those are my two biggest issues.

It doesn’t really matter what you set your goals to before the day of your actual test. But if you are able to consistently get 2400 on practice tests before the test, then I think it’s safe to say that you will be getting 2350+. Otherwise, you’re just counting on luck to work in your favor.

consistently get 2400 on practice tests? I have ways to go

2400 on every practice test might be overdoing it a bit. High 2300s should suffice
