<p>“High grades cannot make up for a lack of potential artistically.” Yikes. That does come off as harsh, on second read. It was DEFINITELY not directed at anyone in particular, nor meant to imply that anyone rejected from BU or any program does not have talent or potential!!! At all!!! I was really just trying to not say “bad audition,” because that doesn’t really give the whole picture, either. Ultimately it’s about FIT, and I guess what I meant is what the faculty perceives as potential to grow specifically in this program. Oh, I am so sorry if I hurt or offended anyone with that.
