How can I bump up my 690-800 in writing to an 800?
I always seem to get 4 or 5 mistakes each time.
I wish to reduce that number to 0 or 1. I’ve read a lot of grammar books and I’ve done around 7 practice exams already; how can I improve?

Since you say that you have 4 or 5 mistakes on each practice test, I’d look for the patterns in your errors–there probably are some. Categorize the types of questions that cause difficulty for you. Are they subject/verb agreement in tricky cases, verb tense, pronoun reference, diction, or parallelism? Once you have them categorized, you can work on each type of issue until you can get them all right. If your errors are not in the “find the error” type of question, but something else, you can still apply this strategy, but you will have to work harder to identify the common features of the questions that you are missing.
