I am looking for some help. Is anyone familiar with Mike Barrett’s Ultimate SAT Guide? We are trying to prepare for the SATand have a long way to go(CR540/M440/W500). What is the best way to prepare in 3 months?

Practice!!! U can boost your score in 3 months with a lot of practice. Math and Writing strategies become easier with practice. I went from a 490 in Writing to a 690 in less than 2 months. Just Practice as much as you can. I recommend books like Barrons and CB

Three months is a pretty decent amount of time to prep, so don’t stress about it. tols is right…you gotta practice a lot.

I haven’t heard of that book, check Amazon. I used Cracking the SAT and that book was awesome. There’s a companion book, 11 Practice Tests for the SAT, that is good for extra practice. Nail down the strategies and then just keep practicing. Review the answer explanations for your errors.

btw you don’t have to take all of your practice tests as full, timed tests. You can split them up a bit to just work on one question type at a time if you’re getting stuck. Don’t do that with too many tests, but it might be worth it for a couple of them.
