SAT Help

I had my first class from Studyworks on Sunday. I didn’t learn much out of it. I have learned all the strategies that they taught in the class by self studying the Rocketreview book. I don’t think I need any prep course. I probably just need more workbooks so I can practice more questions. I have all the following workbooks such as Rocketreview, blue book, grammtrix, testmaster solution. Is the Maximium SAT a good book? How about on-line courese? Any suggestions.

Just one parent’s experience, my d used Maximum SAT (along with the blue book and testmasters), she didn’t take the online course. She liked it and thought it was good for strategies. She did well and was happy with one sitting of the SAT.

My son only used Kaplan SAT ACT Prep software, aced his PSATs and SATs.

My son had a great experience with Kaplan. We first bought the SAT book and also took one of their courses. It’s also definitely worth getting the College Board SAT book as it’s packed with real SAT questions. I also recommend checking out E-Prep.com (www.■■■■■■■■■), which features a free online SAT video blog focused at both students and parents. Karl is an old classmate of mine and has 15 years experience tutoring the SAT.

My younger son is just now beginnning to prepare for the SAT and prefers the online prep courses of Kaplan and Princeton Review over sitting in a class one night a week.
