<p>SAT measures knowledge in 3 areas: writing, math, selected response in English. </p>

<p>SAT II measures proficiency in several areas i.e, physics, history, literature, etc.</p>

<p>Also, SATs are required by the majority of colleges (unless you submit ACT scores). Only a handful of selective colleges require SAT II scores.</p>
