SAT II Biology without AP Biology?

I am a sophmore that is currently doing the IGCSE Biology 2 year course (British curriculum). Next year i plan to switch to the american curriculum but dont plan on taking AP Biology. I need to take 2 sat II subject tests to apply to certain colleges.

I’d like to know how hard it would be to score high (700+) if i study diligently for the entire summer (2 months). Can you also suggest prep books i should use, i’ve baught the barron’s one so far.

Here is a syllabus of the course i am taking since you probably arent familar with it:

You should do fine on the SAT Bio after doing well in your IGCSE course. You’ll actually be better prepared than an AP Biology student.

I took the biology sat subject test my freshmen year with only a biology honors course, and I received a 760 on the test. I only prepared for 2 to 3 weeks before the exam. I used Princeton review, and I think it gave me an pretty good coverage of what was on the exam. Besides, your 2 year British program should provide you with more than sufficient preparation for the test.

IGCSE will not even be close to enough. IB or A-level bio for the british curriculum is what is needed.

Nevertheless, it is still very easy to do well. It is mainly memorization, and if you spend enough time you can still get a high 700. The Bio test does not use hard exam technique. For IGCSE, I think you will be more familiar with the Ecological part instead of molecular.
