<p>My daughter has taken the SAT sub tests (chem, math 2, US history) last saturday. She said she did not do well on Chemistry as she expected, but did very good on other two sub tests. I know we can’t cancel just chemistry (wish we could do that).
Is retaking a subject test looks bad on application? Pl respond…</p>
<p>IMO unless she got under 600 on it, she shouldnt cancel, especially since she has two other good scores coming. Reatking an SATII is fine…just as its fine to retake the SAT as long as you dont overdo it. Also, most schools that do require SATIIs only require two now so if she thinks she did good enough on the other two and not that bad on Chem…retaking could even be unnecessary.</p>
