SAT II chem

what does it focus on and what aspects of the test does the SAT II chem cover (or not cover) that the AP covers

i’m only going to self study (with zumdahl) for the sat 2 chem

are all 22 chapters covered on the SAT 2 chem test?

<a href=“College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools”>College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools;

Scroll down to page 29.

Everything covered on the SAT II is covered in the AP test as well. The AP is much more detailed.

Isn’t it a bit early to start worrying about this? The earliest test is in October

wait, so if it covers similar topics as AP, is it just as hard? Or does the AP go WAAAYYYY more in detail?
I took AP Chem this yr, so if i just review that stuff, would i be able to ace the SAT 2 Chem?

There’s a LOT of overlap. But do a practice test or two, and just make sure you have all the bases covered. Another thing is, you’re probably going to forget a lot from now until October, so you’ll need to review things. Just go through some prep book.

what i mean was that if im set for ap chem (as in i review that versus a SAT II prep book) would i be set?
how hard is it too?

You’ll probably want to go over some practice TTCE questions.

Actually, it’s not actually the best move to review AP chem, because a lot of it is more in depth than the SAT II. Just get the PR SAT chem book or something-- it’s worth it.

Also, you should definitely know the colors of common transition metal ions, and the colors of certain metals when put into flame.

yea, we had to do the latter for Qual Lab in chemistry
thx
