<p>I’m chinese by nationality, however, I am not fluent in the language, I’ve been studying it by myself. How will colleges view my SAT II score in chinese if I do well? Will they be able to distinguish that I am not a fluent speaker? If I can’t max out, will this look bad on my college apps?</p>
<p>I guess you do not have to max out, but you better get pretty damn high. The collegeboard website says avg score is 764!! So, ya, above that. </p>

<p>I am also going to take the SAT II Chinese test. I can ace all the han yu pin yin and the listening- as in perfect. H"owever, I can not read many characters, and one third of the test are sentence completions with just characters. I am going have to learn those. It is going to be a pain.</p>
