SAT II Literature

<p>Apart from reading a lot of classics and the CB recommended list of poetry, and going through the Barron’s book and the official exam in the Subject Test book, is there anything else I should do to prep for the test?</p>

<p>I think that’s probably more than enough. If you took AP English Language (I did last year), you will probably find the SAT II relatively easy.</p>

<p>Yes. Read a wide variety of genres, especially from African American authors like Alice Walker or Toni Morrison, because the SAT II Lit tries to encompass “multicultural lit.”</p>

<p>Unless you’re REALLY REALLY good at analyzing poetry/flowery prose, I strongly advise not taking the Lit test. I got a 5 on Eng Lang, a 710 in CR, and a 620 in Lit. My sister who got a perfect 2400 and a 5 on both Lang and Lit only got a 710…</p>
