SAT II math dilemma... which one to take?

I originally signed up for Math 2C because I’ve always been pretty good at math. I’m in pre-calculus this year and have basically covered everything on the 2C test except for limits. My problem is that I HATE trig, and I can’t remember sin and cos for the life of me. I can’t remember any of the formulas at all - whether it be trig formulas or sequence formulas or probability formulas, and I know that a lot of the test is based on memorization of these formulas. Also, I took a practice test the other day and went over the time limit by 30 minutes :frowning: and got around 680-700ish according to my raw score.

But basically… I guess I just need confirmation that switching to take the math 1C is a smart move on my part… even though I’ve heard the curve is bad and one mistake is a lot of points off… but I just feel like I won’t be able to do the 2C… I want at least a 700+ to keep in trend with my other test grades and GPA, etc. I know I am definitely not looking to major in anything math or science related.
So… do you think this would be a good move on my part?
Thanks

dont worry… u can use calculator in test… u dont have to memorize those stupid formulas~

I am in the same dilemna as you. I am also in precal, went through all the stuff except limits and some other stuff like parametric equations, but I can’t remember all the formulas. I’m not a math type person either, to make things worse. But I signed up for the iic. You can always take it again if you don’t do as well as you like. You’ll know what you need to work on, and have all summer to work on it.
