How is a 780 in the Kaplan book compared to the real thing?

maybe a 200…

thanks…that helps

what 780 is equall to 200.
HOWZZAT>>>>???

it’s not a 780… more like 700ish… Kaplan test prep especially for APs and SAT Subject Tests aren’t great… at least in my opinion

hell i just bought them

it depends on how many mistakes u have made to get the 780.

Personally i dont trust the scoring of Kaplan so u might have to post the number of mistakes u have made to check the score.

i think the scoring range is as follows
800 - >= 60 rawpoints
790 - = 58
780 = 57
750+ - 55…

Kaplan is good for Physics and Sparknotes for Math IIC… they contain actual, almost identical questions… I have gone to discussion threads of these Subject SATs (October Physics, June Physics, October Math IIC), and was happy to see the high level of correlation.

For example, in Kaplan:
Two weights of 50 N hang from a thread. What is the tension in the thread?

In an actual Physics SAT
Two weights W hang from a thread. What is the tension in the thread?

Others

Amplitude is related to sound
The wavelength of light is related to width of central band in interference pattern
etc etc

So don’t listen to these people, and read up Kaplan thoroughly. However, make an effort to UNDERSTAND the concepts. If you do that and then be on the lookout for the odd topic which may not be covered properly or at all (I think some people were discussing a problem of horizontally polarized light, that wasn’t covered). Go through Princeton as well, and if there is anything you don’t understand, ask a teacher/look up on the Internet.

do we need to memorize the formulas/equations

It definitely helps you understand the relations between physical quantities. For example, if you memorize wavelength = velocity/frequency. you’ll automatically know increasing the frequency decreases the wavelength.

do do we get an equation sheet?

so do we get an equation sheet*

i wish…
