Hi,

I’ve just the one question for the group: how many resources do you know of for SII prep made by students for students? In fact, apart from SparkNotes - which only seems to cover some subjects - how many [useful and comprehensive] online resources do you know of aimed at SII prep? I know that there’s a good number out there for SI, but for the subject tests?

Hmm.

I do, of course, see the obvious counter-argument in ‘professional books are written by academics, so contain all of the necessary information for the test’ - but surely there’s a place for more student-led input? I mean this to be both from those who have taken the test and from those currently learning [putting together a section on the Lend-Lease Act for a USH section would surely be a good way of learning the material…especially is it was reviewed by several people before being made available to others?].

What I’m describing, I guess, is just a SII-centric Wikipedia. But perhaps there’s a space for it out there…I can’t believe that students don’t have something to offer one another. Like sharing revision notes, but on a gradually comprehensive scale.

Let me know your thoughts. I like to think big, and - whilst I’m far from making any promises - this might be something I’d be interested in investing some time and resources into. Please keep it friendly…I’m just trying to give SIIs the potential to be learnt [with will] as easily online as SIs. If it’s not a go-er, I’ll move on to something else :-)

So…your thoughts?
