I just found out that SAT II Writing is required in order to register/get exemption for Rhetoric 306.

The test will be held on campus on Aug 23, 29 & 31.

I thought the collegeboard discontinued this test after Mar 2005 with the inclusion of the writing component in SAT I!

Can somebody please explain it?

For instance, if this test is really required and legit, who will grade it?
If it isn’t Collegeboard itself, then it can’t really be called the SAT II, can it?

Thanks.

EDIT: Sorry, just read the footnote on this page. http://www.utexas.edu/academic/mec/cbe/cutsat.html

It seems that “UT will continue to administer the SAT Subject Test in Writing through the 2006 summer orientation session for those students who wish to seek credit for RHE 306.”

Why isn’t UT offering credit using SAT I Writing scores?
