SAT IIs: AMSCO for USHistory & Sparknotes for Chem?

June is going to be my first time taking the SAT IIs, and I want to know if these books will prepare me for the tests!!

I used AMSCO for the AP exam, and I thought it was VERY useful! I heard from CC users that AMSCO was effective for the SAT IIs as well. Any other opinions??

Chem is the one I’m worried about though. A lot of people said that Barron’s was a good study tool, but I skimmed through it, and well… it just seemed too confusing, so I got the Sparknotes review book instead. I used it for my general chem class, and it’s helped somewhat so far, but will it help for the SAT IIs?

What do you think is the best review book for USHistory and (especially) Chem???

Thanks!

SAT Subject Test: Chemistry (SparkNotes Test Prep)

Hmm… I see no one wants to answer this question…

You may have heard others refer to using AMSCO and a book called “Crash Course”. I would use the Crash Course book instead of AMSCO for the SAT II US History test, as it is much more brief and concise and to-the-point.

Oh really? I’ll look it up right now! Thank you :D

Sparknotes for chemistry though… anyone??

I’ve heard that a lot of people use Princeton Review too

I’m not sure about Chemistry, but I would guess that AMSCO is probably overkill for the SAT II. Especially if you’ve been studying for APUSH
