Hey, I thought the highest GPA possible was a 4.0 ??? How did you get a 4.5 penguin man???

my school is weird, they only give out weighted, with aps and honors

actually that’s not as weird as you think. that would technically be your weighted gpa and then you have an unweighted gpa.

What would be my weighted GPA for a 4.65?
Would it be 3.64?

When you study for the test you take the hold test or do you break it down by section by section?

ShadowRider78: Wow you have a 4.65 weighted gpa and are unable to calculate your unweighted gpa? Somethings seriously wrong with your school to give you those grades when unable to calculate something like that.

Take all your grades, A=4, B=3, C=2, add them up and divide by however many classes you have taken and you get your UNWEIGHTED GPA.

still i have a 4.2 because in our school a+ is 4.3 unweighted…

Ugh don’t even mention weighted/unweighted. Only until mid of the school year last year did I realize I had a 4.0 unweighted. Until then I counted EVERY “A” and “B” on the report card and dividing by the number of them. It was pretty dumb of me to think that colleges even have the time to look at EVERY report card letter…

My nephew turned us onto two great websites with little tips and tricks with taking the SAT–very logical practical advice on www.■■■■■■■■■ -it has videos, so it feels a bit more personal–some guy who is an ivyleague tutor. Sounds like he knows what he is talking about. And some basic good advice on www.collegeboard.com. Check them out–see if there is any tatics for taking the test that might help. Sounds like you are a great student–keep in mind that this is just one event in many many years of living. Maybe your are focusing so hard on this 5 hour period in your life that it is clouding your ability to use the knowledge you obviously have. Maybe step back and look at the bigger picture.
