12. Scientific proof? Finding evidence that they cultivated distant farms (many say that the answer choice that had the word “neighbor” was in Q11, but I think it was this one that had one of the answer choices having the phrase “trading with neighboring villages.” I think this is not the answer because neighboring villages are likely to be “near.” We need to find prove that they could have “distant” farms)

Biological Clock (Q 15~24)
15. What’s the purpose of the article? To introduce a phenomenon and (re)solutions / To introduce a theory and ways of testing it (I personally chose the latter one because I couldn’t find any (re)solutions. As a matter of fact, ways of testing it make more sense since they did experiments to find out that our internal clock is actually 25 hours and not 24 hours. Also all the things regarding going in to a light isolated cave for months and etc).
16. What does the word “work” mean? Operate
17. What does the phrase “If the legend can be believed” do? Qualify a sentence
18. What does the phrase “Found at 1917, and more thoroughly examined half century later” indicate? To describe the finding of the biological clock (I know many will think this as controversial, but I think this is right. I’ve seen some say that it’s to give scientific evidence or something but isn’t too vague to say that this verifies its validity. Rather I think it is just objectively providing information regarding its finding).
19. How independent is our internal clock from external influences. (The question was relevant to the word “autonomous”).
20. In which of the following cases might the additional time accumulate? Isolation of light and sound

6. Obdurate

Traffic (Q 7~19)
7. Entertainment of historical event (This is also a little bit controversial, but I objectively think this is correct)
8. Have to change social behavior as well as something (like technical problems or etc)

10. What does the phrase “only keep in the right side was the common rule” indicate? Underscore the need for more laws (rules)

12. What do all those different colors for traffic signs refer to? (or the question might be “Red might mean “stop” in one region and “go” in another region) The need to standardize stuffs
13. Should we change to green and red or stick with gray and purple? Highlighted the issues to be resolved
14. (question regarding Montana and Montacco have same traffic sings) Had become standardized

17. lack of general consensus
18. What are “walkers and cyclists”? people that share streets with the motorists
19. discuss attempts at traffic control

hopefully that list looks good…right? i probably got like -8 or -9…could that still be like a 670-700??? im so scared…

For number 17. (though forgive me if I I’m just remembering incorrectly and forgot the question) but for Cyclists to share the same road would be following course of one of the suggestions of a specific country’s regulations

Having a separate lane would be following another country’s regulations

I’m pretty sure the answer to that was whichever option said that there was no general consensus on how cyclists should be organized. (so many different ways described in that paragraph about how they were organized in different countries that it would be preemptive to say that it would be conclusive)

Or maybe that wasn’t even a question at all and I’m just imagining all of this. Wouldn’t be surprising really.

@@ need SLEEP ++

Desi, the Blog passages had 4 questions.

Best case scenario = -6 = 720-ish?
Worst case scenario = we’re all wrong, so 200.

oo okay…well then we got all of them…i forgot…lemme edit it. that means the photography one only had 22…since two is missing from the blogs. lemme edit.

For 17, I got “lack of general consensus” as my answer as well…
cause didnt it talk about all the different opinions regarding the cyclist lanes and stuff?

Biological clock question 18 specifically asked what “and more thoroughly examined half century later” meant to the sentence, not inclusive of “Found at 1917” I go to the questions first and then underline what the question asks. That last section of the paragraph had a lot of underlinings (each one right after another. This time I am sure 100%)

I think it is to provide scientific reassurance that the phenomenon was real, not to describe the finding. Nothing about “and more thoroughly examined half century later” has anything to do with finding.

You know what? To each his own. I find that the compiled answers do not have a consensus :T hopefully the curve will be lenient.

Does anyone remember what exactly the question was for 17?

we have all 67 guys…so im guessing this is the most accurate…check it out…i got -8 or -9, hopefully if the fun fact is right then -9…max im expecting right…hopefully worst case is -10…which would bring me to a 670.

o yah and i got lack of general consensus…sorry…lemme edit that…i copy pasted this from skyscraper…

wait… -10 is 670? I thought that was more like 640-650.

i checked on erikthered…its not…its 670…http://www.erikthered.com/tutor/SAT-Released-Test-Curves.pdf...im considering that this is the far side of the yellow tests…

404 not found, so I’ll take your word. Worst case for me is -9, maybe -10 if something special happens.

http://www.erikthered.com/tutor/SAT-Released-Test-Curves.pdf

we are in the same boat… what do u think a -1 in math, -9 to -10 in critical reading, and -2 writing would be with like 11 essay? hopefully above a 2200+?

Yes. I did pretty abysmal (haha) this time, I missed 2 in math, writing probably 700+, so I’m looking @ a low 2100.

is that a “yes” to my 2200+?
i hope so…

The thing its… in the BB practice tests I would consistently gets 750’s on the CR. Oh well, this was my 1st time taking the SAT.

EDIT that “yes” was to your 2200+. Congrats.

yah…same here…but i really hope i got a 2200+…u think so right?
