<p>I’ve got two mediocre subject test scores that I could improve by just studying up some SAT II prep books. Is it likely that competitive colleges will actually see and consider my scores by the time they get them in February, or should I just screw it and use my time for something else?</p>
<p>One of my dd’s competitive colleges will see/consider them, another won’t. Perhaps a call to those you’re especially interested in will clarify for you.</p>
<p>Well, for example, I asked both my college counselors, and they’re convinced that colleges have already discussed and closed my file, and that even if the scores make it by Feb 15, colleges won’t discuss them. </p>
<p>Does that sound right?</p>
<p>I just emailed the adcoms at Harvard and they said that they’ll take those January scores… but my experienced college counselors said they won’t actually look at them, even if they make it into my file.</p>
