SAT Many times

My friend wants me to ask CC if taking the sat many times could be a negative, especially because he took it once as a freshman, four times as a soph (all for college programs and recruiting) and once for real college admissions purposes as a junior, and ended with a 2250. He is applying to Duke early decision and they superscore but require all scores to be sent. Will they thing this is a negative or does it not matter because he only took it once as a junior??

they probably will not care although they might take it into consideration if his application was placed against someone who wasn’t able to afford taking the test multiple times and still did well

@3idek3 but they will not know that he took it for recruiting and summer program… Does that not change anything?

It’s fine, it won’t be a big deal. As long as his application is strong. They probably get a lot of applications who retook the test that many times. I did. The only difference in testing between you and me is that I did all mine within the course of a year. Your application would be considered better because you did your tests over the course of four years.
