SAT Math Approach

I have a hard time with the SAT math sections, especially the theoretical questions with multiple variables and no real numbers to work with. How can I prepare for these types of questions? And how can I improve my math score overall? My practice test showed a 620 in math, which I think is really abysmal.

A side question - Is it allowed if I would post a question from an official practice test? These questions have been released for public use, but I don’t want to get myself in trouble. I want to post a question to give an example.

you can post the question, but make sure to check out the thread at the top of this section for consolidated questions and solutions to blue book math questions

The best way to do well on the math section is to never pick the answer that “seems right”. The SAT is one cruel ***** when it comes to making you think that you did well and then gives you a 680. Go through the math section like a tank would roll through a city: slow and careful.
