SAT Math battery question

The question states that the battery is discharged then charges only 90% of the amount before. My claim is that the answer is A because choice C does not have it discharged completely… I forgot but can anyone clarify which part of the statement state it’s that it’s obviously C?

Also, do you think -1 on math is 800 for the march curve?

I don’t see how it could be A, given that the graph should show the battery discharging, so a step function would not work (not to mention, although this is probably unintentional, that A and B aren’t even functions as the ‘step’ overlap). The only possible caveat could be if I misread the question, and it wanted a graph of the max possible charge…but I don’t remember it saying that.

Yes so that’s what I’m saying. What was the exact question ? Was it max possible charge or the entire cycle of the charging.

Also, -1 is that possible for 800 math still? Or 780 or what do you think?

I’m fairly certain it’s just a graph of charge. Max charge would be a silly question; presumably the battery’s maximum charge would not stay at “100%” until the exact moment that you finish charging it and then suddenly decrease to 90%.

Probably 780-790, unless if they’re unusually lenient or harsh.

Also if the battery is discharged, shouldn’t the curve of the graph be lower? I think like I’m over thinking the question but nonetheless it must be A or C since other answers were obviously incorrect

I don’t think you typically discharge a battery 100% before recharging it.

Nonetheless, I don’t think A makes physical sense. Sorry.

Alright thanks. I did better in reading than I had expected so I guess that makes up for it. Probably expecting a 2100 this time and 2250 when I practice until May…
Haha I feel ashamed cause I’m the CTY math winner for my state and I’ve gotten 800 on math like 3x now >_<

Oh okay. You’re correct because of the fact that once the power source is gone over time it would not be at a straight horizontal line.

I feel like I may put down C though, idk we’ll see. Still got May and June and October (?)

If you’re a junior like me, yeah.

I think I’m right…but at this point, we’re all speculating. Might as well wait till the 28th.

Gosh, I need to go to bed lol.

I have really bad memory but I remember eliminating B, D, and E and C but then erased it and then re read the question like 2x before putting down my final

Yes me too. Just realized its DST… My goal is just as high as possible until college apps. Study when I have free time

I’m not sure which answer choice it was, but to be clear, I believe it was the one with the three “humps”, each a little smaller than the last. Right?

Was this the section with the grid-in?

I believe so, yes. Section 2 for me.

I picked the 3 humps like Braydenslv said.

the correct answer is the 3 humps graph. i believe it was C?
