sat math girls vs boys

Do girls tend to score lower on sat math than boys. I know in terms of math grades they do equally well - but what about standardized tests?

For the class of 2009, the average SAT scores were (male first number, female second number):

Math 534 499
Read 503 498
Writ. 486 499

See here, page 3, for the last 35+ years of these numbers.

Thanks for the info - does this mean admissions officers interpret male and female scores differently ie bit more lenient when looking at girls math scores?

^no, thats discrimination. However, a female applying for engineering and a male for nursing will help increase your chances

edit: nice find fignewton(awesome snack lol)

Girls are not so good at math as boys, it’s fact so accept it. At school girls usually do even better because they are much more diligent and boys are mostly a bit lazy, but when it comes to a more important test, boys are a bit better.
