I’m kind of nervous for the SAT math due to the fact I took Geometry in the 8th grade and most of the SAT math is GEOMETRY. I hardly remember any of that stuff. How can I refresh my memory. I would appreciate any tips.

I didn’t exactly kill the math section (710, 4 silly mistakes), but the SAT Cram Plan book from Cliffnotes helped me a ton in remembering all the angle relationships that can be tricky. Other than these, there is very little memorization required and if you took Geometry in 8th grade I’ll assume you’re mathematically competent and can reason through any problem to it out.

Seeing as you have the same problem as I do (I took geometry at the same time, and it was/still is my worst sub-subject in math), I would pick up an SAT 2400 book by Barron’s. It has incredible tips for all of the math stuff that you need to know to score in the top ranks on the SAT. Also, the practice problems are tougher in that book, so that the real SAT problems seem extremely easy. If you practice hard and try to study around the fact that this is a standardized test, and NOT a geometry final, you should do well!

PS, the SAT 2400 book has a bunch of tips for writing, and has a high level word list for Critical reading as well. easily one of my favorite prep books.

Thank you guys!
