Hi! Thank you for reading this
I am an international student (Kyrgyzstan)
I’m taking Level 2 Math in December.
Unfortunately, there are no shops or libraries from where i could borrow/buy prep books.
BUT i have the PR 2013-2014 ebook.
Will studying PR and Sparknotes get me over 700?
Thanks.

you can easily get a 700 without any preparation if you’re a high achieving student at high school.

I personally have not used PR or Sparknotes (much) but used Barrons instead. However, I did take SAT II in November (Bio,Chem,Math II) and I can confidently tell you this, the SAT II math is not difficult for anyone who has a strong foundation in mathematics.

I had a look at sparknotes the other day and though I didn’t use it much, I did find that it gives decent formulas and information that would be adequate for the Math II exam. However, its lack of practice papers (because the page with practice papers is under maintenance (GAHH) may be an issue since you need practice to build up speed for Math II. Remember you only have 60 minutes for 50 questions.

However, that being said, you do not need to score all 50 questions correct. In fact, 44/50 is generally the borderline for a 800 while a 35 or so will earn you a 700.

Therefore, you should be safe with just PR or Sparknotes if you have taken intermediate/advanced algebra and geometry courses.

If you have a strong background in mathematics (up to pre-calculus), you should be able to score 800 with little preparation. I recommend taking at least a practice test just to see where you’re at and get a feel for the test.
