Sat math question

<p>I am solving some Real SAT exam and got those questions wrong.</p>

<p>I transformed Square root to power of 1/2,since I can't write square root notation here.</p>

<p>4)What is the radius of the largest sphere that will fit inside a cube with edges of length 2?</p>

<p>1) 1
2) 2^1/2
3) (3*2^1/2) / 2
4) 2
5) 2 * 2^1/2</p>

<p>13) For their graduation ceremony, the 100 students in Arlene's senior class were each assigned different whole number from 1 to 100. Arlene and her class entered the auditorium in numerical order, and every 20 students filled a different row, maintaining that order. There were aisles on both ends of each row, and only one student sat between Arlene and the aisle. which of the following CANNOT be Arlene number?</p>

2) 42
3) 59
4) 69
5) 82</p>

<p>Okay I don't really understood this question I understood it as there is auditorium and each student entered according to his number,so for example if person X has number = 1 then he would enter first and if person B has number = 2 he would enter second.
But how can I then formulate where Arlene number is if I didn't get enuff information and what is a "aisles".</p>

<p>In the cube above, diagonals of three faces form AGC. What is the measure of <AGC ?
1)30
2)45
3)60
4)90
5)120;</p>

<p>The answer is 60,but I made it 90 why isn't it 90 if we look we will find that <G on the F side makes right triangle since its a square and <G on the H side also is 90,so if a diagonal cuts them it should be 45 + 45 = 90.</p>

<p>For problem 4, the distance across the sphere is 2 and the maximum size of the sphere would be a diameter of 2. So, the radius would be 1.
I agree with fogcity on number 14.
For the last problem, since it is a cube, all of the diagonals would be the same length and AGC is an equilateral triangle. So, each of the angles is 60 degrees.</p>

<p>Triangle question : Because the cube is 3 dimensional. Also, the triangle so formed is equilateral.</p>
