SAT Math

Does anyone know how to move from the mid 600s to 700s. I’m stuck on these level 5 questions, sometimes i can grind through them but most of the time i have no idea what to do.

  1. Read carefully and interpret the question exactly as written.
  2. None of the questions (even level 5) should require excessive brute force. If you find yourself "grinding through them" and taking too long to solve, there is probably a simpler, more clever way.
  3. Sometimes, plugging in the answer choices or random numbers is a fast strategy. But I wouldn't recommend doing this too often.
  4. It may help to learn some basic combinatorics and number theory (if you haven't already), since these subjects are not usually taught well in school. Some of the level 5 questions might clue you in to list all the possibilities, but this can be avoided.

Thank you for the tips!
