I don’t remember getting “defile” for anything:( Also, for the celebrity passage, I think the answer to the mildly riddculous/ conceited was riddiculous, because in the very next sentence the author described a similar behavior of his as “comical”. Sorry for bringing it back up again since it has already been debated before. I also put “to criticize a trend”.

whats teh defile question???

it’s probably on the experimental.

I thought the acheologist was inquisitive with his questions. And that is was personification.
For the celebrity on, that serious = devoted

oh great, I thought I did all right and now I just found out I got a lot wrong…

^^ i put devoted too, but others said it was i think thoughtful or something so idk

personification is wrong i think…and i dont remember inquisitive

@Bell Curve: how does serious mean devoted? I put down humorless during the test, which I now know is wrong, but why isn’t it thoughtful?

i put personfication too but that was prolly just a dumb mistake. metaphor makes more sense.

Speaking as someone who’s never ever gotten an SAT reading question wrong even when he took it in 8th grade, it was flippant.

/pompous

ETA: oh, oh! Also. One was metaphor and another was repetition.

woah…Mr. repaired can you confirm the other questions

was it contentious or indulgent

was it reasoning behind a point of view or clarify a principle

ya we can use some clarification lol

lol im adding on to the list of questions that are still open to debate

celebrities-- was it reemphasize a point or critique a trend

insincere sentiments or inflated style?

more im forgetting…

oh yea… if you’re that good…

you should help us clarify

reemphasize a point vs critique a trend
inflated style vs insincere

please…

this makes me think the answer for one of the questions is shameslessly conceited

u guys are actually willing to trust some dumb ass who just claims to never have missed one?? (wow…gullible much?)

Can someone who usually gets 800 on critical reading step up?

answer the debating questions please. thanks.

ya i’m pretty sure that thats like not related ashley…
