<p>If a junior is taking 3 AP tests (AP Cal BC, Chemistry, Computer Sci) in May, when is a better time to take SAT in general, May or June? He also plans to take SAT II Chemistry either in May or June. The final exams would be also in June.</p>

<p>I took the AP Chem AP last year (before the changes) and I’ve noticed that now, the course is more fundamental. I took the SATII Chem in June, and it was fundamental too. I’d take the SATII in May, and the general SAT in June, because both Chem exams are now pretty similar. That being said, don’t just wing it and go in expecting an 800… buy a review book for those subtle differences (I remember that lab stuff was incorporated more into the SATII exam than the AP). <p>I prefer option 1 if you have good SAT1 already. In your case, you may either consider option 2 or option 1 plus June ACT.</p>
<p>The junior should also try to take the ACT in june because some people that scored horribly on the sat do well on the act. I am an example with a 1990 in the jan sat and 34 on the march act. </p>
