I am going to apply for the November SATs tonight. I am still on the edge on whether I should or should not apply. I don’t think I am ready because I did not reach my target score each time I take practice tests and my writing portion could use more work. However, I do get over a 2000 each time and I’m debating whether to take the November just to experience it. Do you guys recommend this? I might end up doing poorly and it will not look good on my transcript; however, should I take it so that I become familiar with the process?

It doesn’t matter, they won’t see scores you don’t want them to see do you not know that?

Is this your first time taking it? Just curious because you said “…just to experience it” and “…become familiar with the process.”
Also, depending where you apply to, you can choose what scores to send along with your transcript. (Assuming that you take it more than once)

i heard you weren’t supposed to take the SAT without practicing, but it seems like a lot of people do…what’s the best way? i was told that you might as well study first, b/c if you don’t, you know your score won’t be good and you wasted time and money. if you are really curious, just do some sample problems to get an idea…but that isn’t the same as actually seeing where your “raw” or “un-study” score is. thoughts?
