that’s not part of CR

one point of the numbe you got right

Wait, so that applies to math? How’s that possible?

in math the grid-ins don’t have a fourth of a point off.

Srry for all the ??s but could u give me an example of how that works

yeah i know, the grids ins you don’t gain or lose a point

if you get 3 questions wrong and one grid wrong (and omit none)
3 * .25 = .75
38 - 4 (3 + 1grid in) = 34
34 - .75 ~ 33 = 68

actually, they round up, so 34-.75~34

can anyone tell me the question for “! 37. specific barrier (choice C)”?

they only round up if it is a 33.5

Wow, this sucks

Hmm…

Math (-3) (misread two: 4 on the at+bt and x^2+root2xy, messed up the grid in on another: 151 instead of 141)

Reading (-6): (3 SC questions, independent instead of inconspicuous, man wanted to be like the two hikers, not one, for the “gross” clouds I answered he tried to disprove a theory with irony…although I think that answer matches perfectly nobody agrees here)

Writing (-3): (bronte-no error, plato-error after verb tense, lawyers-error with “members”)

Possibly a few more on CR (i put conversational/scholarly dispute, uncle tone=wry)

If the answers were as posted above, -3 in math should hold unless i misbubbled something.

-3 in writing should hold…haven’t heard anything else.

Heh, that comes out to about…

70-73M
67-70CR
73-77R

Min: 210
Max: 220
Avg: 215
Note-this is assuming I have no other incorrect answers :/

Actually a fair read…the practice I scored 212, so…

Unless they have a crazy generous curve, I’m not crossing 216.

I’ve got some studying to do for National Merit next year.

what state are you in? are you even a junior? (collegefreak)

hey naidu, what’s up?

my math hasnt changed at all; and my writing and CR and hanging on the slim 80/78 thread

sigh, i hope it stays that way… (knock on wood)

I got
math: 74
CR: 73 -> if what you guys say is true
W: 78 -> worst case scenario
225 (touch wood)
what about you?

i did horrible on all sections. I made 3 careless math mistakes, i think. I changed 3 of my Reading answers to the wrong ones. The CR is just screwed up.

agreed . I hate CR actually because of the SAT I hate reading altogether

Did you guys get triplets at all? I got two sets on one of the CR sections, I think the first, but then I changed an answer to end up with one set. I don’t remember any triplets in math or writing.

And is there a list of cutoffs for each state? I know they don’t officially publish them, but did people figure it out? I think for Texas it’s around 217 for semifinalist.

there was like a double and triple on the CR, I think

oh, I know what I did for the median one. I didn’t line them all up correctly. I just kept them in the order that they were presented.

what letter choice was the median answer? anyone know??
