The problem is that the ACT is vulnerable to the same kinds of cheating the SAT is (actually even more vulnerable–it sends exams a few weeks early to test centers and actually instructs test centers to open the package to "make sure everything’s there). It’s also a “dumber” test–correct answers aren’t paraphrases like the SAT; they’re usually verbatim from the passage; in order to make it “harder,” ACT presents answers that are non-sequential in the passage, adding “difficulty” by making searching more time-consuming. Not to mention that its “Science” section is a misnomer–it’s just reading comprehension (about science).
