Hi im a student from Mexico City and i want to enter Upenn for the fall 2013 i have some questions
The first one whats better SAT or ACT? because i think i would have a better score in act ratter than sat
The second one If I apply for financial aid i need to do it as a internacional student bbecause they separate MEXICO and Canada from the other countries
and the last one how does the GPA work for International students? im in the 4th semester in my high school and i got myself a pretty decent 9.3 in a high performance school and i have some extracurriculars like CCNA (cisco) and Office 2007 certifications that all my school can give me

If i have some mistakes in my grammar please let me know im studying english by myself with some help from a family friend because I also need to Present the TOEFL

Thanks (:

I can answer u the firt question,do what u will thrive in.I can duely swear that ACT + SAT are evaluated equally by almost every admissions office. What matters is not “what” test to take, because both have common goals in assessing prospective college freshman, but your grades in whatever test you take.I am an international (non-US) student like you and I agree with you that ACT is somehow easier for us because it is subject oriented.

Yeah just for the record I got into Penn with the ACT for engineering but many people do it with the SAT + Subject Tests, its whatever you prefer.

Yeah, you could take either one. Just make sure to get at least 2200+ on the SAT and a 33+ on the ACT. These scores aren’t the ultimate cutoff, but just what the majority of admitted students usually get. Good luck on whatever test you take! :)

i got 1800 in my first Sat so i think i will Retake it at the next Chance hoping to get at least 2000 or 2100 this time thanks for replying (:
