SAT or SAT II? Please help

Ok so I have gotten conflicting ideas from my teacher and the school college counsler. I took the SAT for the second time and got scores of
M 750
R 680
W 620 (9)

These were all my best scores as the last time I got 740 in M, 620 in R, and 600 in W. However I know for a fact I can do better on Writing (I have taken numerous practice tests and always seem to score 690) and while I think I can do better on the other two I am happy with those scores. However, I also need to retake the SAT II’s as I got only a 620 on US History and 660 on Math Level 2.

My schools:
Claremont Mckenna (math, reading only)
Occidental
USC
University of Washinton Honors
Northwestern (math, reading only)
Wesleyan (the only one that says they look at the SAT II’s)
Colgate (math, reading only I think)

My school’s college counsler thinks writing doesn’t matter as much and even if schools say they do not look at SAT II’s they still do. My teacher who is very much involved think that schools don’t even care about the SAT II’s and I have nothing to lose if I take the november SAT reasoning.

Which one should I take??? Thanks for all the help!

Any opinions would help!

Did you happen to take the APUSH exam? if you did well on that, it might be able to cancel out the 620 (I got a 4 on that exam and I got a 600 on that SAT II, so I know how you are feeling)

Ya I did take the AP and only got a 3 which sucks. If I were to retake the SAT II, I would take Math Level 2 and Lit instead of the US History which I realized I am just not very good at.

Yeah that’s exactly what I’m doing and I’m not going to worry about the low SAT II score. I don’t think colleges will not accept you because of that. Just do pretty well on the other SAT II’s and you’ll be fine.

so you would recommend the SAT II’s. Thanks Glimer. Anyone else with anyone recommendations?
