Sat prep book

I will be a sophomore next year and I am looking to start casually studying for the SAT. If I were to purchase books that have been published recently will they still prepare me well once I start getting really serious about studying in a couple years?

The SAT will be revised soon, but that might be after you take it. Some good books that are out right now are Dr. Chung’s SAT Math, The Insider’s Complete Guide to SAT Vocabulary: The Essential 500 Words, and the Official SAT Study Guide.

I agree with SteelTrapMindset though I think Pwn the SAT is better than Dr Chung

I have many SAT books that I bought in 2011 before Border’s closed & they’re all still good. Please save your money and do NOT get Dr. Chung’s. I bought it and realized how IRRELEVANT the questions were to the actual SAT math. @ the time I got the book I didn’t realize how stupid it was to prepare for questions that weren’t even going to be seen on the test. I’ve heard good things about Pwn the SAT Math, so I will get that soon as my math score is similar to yours. Other than Dr.Chung’s, that sounds like a solid list of prep books.
