My goal is to score as high above 2000 as possible in January. I’ve already taken the exam twice before, but I’m wondering which company I should go to for a real prep book. I’m leaning toward Barron’s since it helped me with Math II and Biology quite a bit (720 and 750 respectively), but does anyone have any suggestions for me?

Look in the sticky’d thread…there is a link to another thread about prep books. Personally, I would just get Gruber’s for math IF you need the review. Otherwise, just doing practice sections from BB should be fine. Direct Hits for vocabulary is a good choice to get just about all if not all sentence completions correct.

If you want greater vocab coverage, Princeton Review Hit Parade and Rocket Review Core Words are useful.

I like BB and Princeton Review. Kaplan is a little too easy IMO. Have you considered ebooks as well? There are a lot of ebooks aimed at specific scores and they outline the study plan you’ll need to achieve that score. I used [2200+ SAT Prep](<a href=“SAT 1, SAT Books, 2200+ SAT Preparation Strategy @ MY-SAT.com”>SAT 1, SAT Books, 2200+ SAT Preparation Strategy @ MY-SAT.com), because it’s affordable and comes with a lot of extras. A friend of mine used Nova’s SAT ebook and did well too, but I did better
I only got 1700 on my first practice test, but when it came time for the real thing, I walked away with 2200! I bet you can do it too, just find what works for you!

For the SAT II I used Princeton Review. The book makes it fun- jokes and stuff like that.
It was so easy to read that I am taking all 3 SAT REASONING books they have so I can use them over the break and than take the January test. Im confident my score will be at least a 2000
