SAT prep questions

(Rising Junior) I was wondering what the best approach is when preparing for the SATs (both SATI and SAT II). I have Barron’s SAT prep book, College Board’s SAT Test book (“blue book”) as well as College Board’s US. His. and World History Prep. book. I’ve done one or two practice tests so far and the results are not even near where I hope they will be when I do actually take the test (right now-low 500s =( ). How did you prepare? And how many points can my score be raised if I practice a few hours daily throughout this summer?
Does anyone know any other books to study for the World History SAT, because I’ve already taken both practice tests that are offered in the Collegeboard book (scoring in 500s =( ). I studied their explonations and got 800 when I tried the questions again, but OBVIOUSLY i cannot do that with the actual test so just wondering what else I can do to prep.
Thanks =)

I’ve heard about the method but it seemed really long and spread out and I didn’t know they had it summarized. Thanks for pointing it out
